Conviction and discipline
Two ranges managed from Luxembourg. The four UCITS sub-funds of Gekko Fund SICAV are managed directly and actively, each by a named manager you can reach by telephone. The iRIS quantitative strategies reassess their exposure every day in light of the degree of uncertainty in the markets.
Four sub-funds, four angles
All belong to Gekko Fund SICAV, an open-ended investment company under Luxembourg law. Each sub-fund offers two to three share classes, accumulating or distributing, in euro or in hedged dollar.
Conviction Shares
Companies whose earnings grow faster than the market. Selection combines a quantitative screen with qualitative analysis: cash flow, operating margins, competitive advantages, governance and strategic vision.
D LU2596552427 · USD hedged
Flexible Allocation
Every asset class, equities and bonds alike, in the service of medium-term performance. Exposure is steered actively, using derivatives to adjust or hedge risk as conditions require.
B LU2596551965 · EUR distribution
D LU2596552005 · USD hedged
Dividend Opportunities
Companies with sound fundamentals that return a substantial share of their earnings, through dividends or share buybacks. The focus is on dividend growth and on valuation.
B LU2592253293 · EUR distribution
D LU2592253376 · USD hedged
Global Convertible
Participating in rising equity markets while relying on the bond floor of convertibles. A concentrated portfolio of some thirty holdings, built on issuer selection rather than on replicating a universe.
B LU2596552187 · EUR distribution
D(H) LU2596552260 · USD hedged
ISIN codes are given for identification purposes. The full characteristics of each share class, fees included, are set out in the prospectus and in the Key Information Document of the relevant sub-fund.
Two certificates, one method
Every day, iRIS measures the degree of uncertainty in the markets and the strength of their trend through two proprietary signals, and sets the exposure of its strategies accordingly. They are offered as actively managed certificates (AMC) issued by BNP Paribas: they are not part of Gekko Fund SICAV and do not fall within the UCITS framework.
iRIS Active Equity
Exposure to US and European equities that pulls back when uncertainty rises and increases when the trend is clear. Benchmark: 70% S&P 500 and 30% Euro Stoxx 50.
iRIS Absolute Return
Seeking a positive return over rolling twelve-month periods, whatever the market climate. Exposure can turn short, down to −50%, to benefit from a fall. Benchmark: €STR.
iRIS certificates are debt securities issued by BNP Paribas Issuance B.V. and guaranteed by BNP Paribas S.A.: investors bear the credit risk of the issuer and the guarantor, and capital is not guaranteed. Their full characteristics, fees and risks included, are set out in the issuer's documentation and in the Key Information Document (KID) of each certificate.
Two ways of managing
Active management commits us: every holding in a Gekko portfolio is the result of a decision taken by a manager, one we stand behind and one we will explain to you if you ask. With iRIS, the decision falls each day to a grid of signals, applied with the same discipline; Privalux Management advises the underlying index of each certificate as Index Allocation Agent.
Who decides, for each sub-fund
